IT Administrator, 100%

Kehl, Hybrid
Full-time
Permanent employee

Job description

Vision Group is a digital company in the contact lens distribution space, with offices in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and Lithuania, and our headquarters in Switzerland. Our development team builds and runs the e-commerce platform and logistics technology that powers our marketing, operations and account management teams across Europe.

As IT Administrator, you are the person who keeps our ~150 colleagues productive, secure and well-equipped. You own the day-to-day IT experience — from onboarding new joiners to keeping our productivity stack running smoothly — and you are the trusted hands-on partner for our local teams in Kehl and Paris (and occasionally Zurich).

Your mission

  • Onboard and offboard employees across our key systems — provision accounts, devices and access for new joiners, and revoke access cleanly and on time when people leave; design and implement related processes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

  • Administer our core productivity stack — in particular Google Workspace, Slack and Asana — including users, groups, integrations, licences and security settings.

  • Support local teams in Kehl and Paris with hands-on help on laptops, peripherals (printers, scanners), meeting rooms, Wi-Fi and local office infrastructure; step in for urgent matters in Zurich when needed.

  • Manage our heterogeneous device fleet (Windows and macOS) end-to-end: procurement, imaging, MDM, patching, security baselines and lifecycle/asset tracking.

  • Troubleshoot pragmatically — get the user productive again first, then dig into root cause and document the fix so it stops being a recurring ticket.

  • Partner with HR, Security and Operations on joiner-mover-leaver processes, access reviews, IT policy and compliance.

  • Spot opportunities to automate and simplify — account provisioning, software distribution, asset tracking — and roll out lightweight improvements that scale with us.

  • Keep the robots running  — help troubleshooting local warehouse robotics installations for picking and packing in Kehl, if time permits.

Your profile

  • A pragmatic problem-solver. You make the user productive again first, then dig into the root cause. You take pride in clean, durable fixes rather than recurring workarounds.

  • Hands-on IT support / system administration experience in a multi-office, multi-country environment, ideally supporting both technical and non-technical users.

  • Solid Google Workspace administration skills — users, groups, security, Drive, identity and integrations — plus a working knowledge of Slack and Asana administration.

  • Confident with device management for both Windows and macOS in a mixed fleet — ideally with exposure to MDM tooling and endpoint security.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across local machines, networks (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN) and peripherals such as printers and scanners.

  • A good communicator who can de-jargonise IT topics for colleagues across multiple countries and disciplines.

  • Curious by nature. You enjoy learning new tools, exploring how things work and quietly raising the bar on how we do IT.

  • Highly collaborative working style — comfortable working closely with HR, Security, Engineering and local team leads.

  • Business fluent in English (our official company language) and French given the focus on Kehl/Paris; German is a strong plus.

  • Willing to travel occasionally to Paris and Zurich.

  • Eager to learn and to explore. The IT landscape is changing fast and you thrive exploring new approaches and technologies especially around AI tools.

  • Mechatronic experience is a plus. Some flair for helping to troubleshoot automated robotic systems picking and packing systems is a big plus, but not a prerequisite.

We offer you

  • A high-impact role where you directly enable ~150 colleagues across six European countries to do their best work every day.

  • Real ownership of our IT operations — a clean canvas to improve tooling, automation and processes as we scale.

  • A pragmatic, collaborative team that values getting things done over politics, with direct access to decision-makers.

  • Based in Kehl with hybrid flexibility; offices in BE, CH, FR, DE, IT and LT, with occasional travel to Paris and Zurich.

  • Reports directly to the Head of IT, with room to grow as the company and the IT function expand.
